This was my first time photographing this family and it couldn't have gone any better! Despite being an absolutely frigid morning, the kids were so well behaved and posed through their chattering teeth. ;) After some posed photos, we all warmed up playing at the park! Enjoy the photos!

Darryl + Ali + Eden ~ Family/Maternity

A couple of weeks before little Leo made his appearance, I met up with Darryl and Ali to do some family and maternity photos at our neighbourhood park. We did some photos, but mostly just played at the park. Such is life when photographing an 18 month old! ;) Enjoy the photos!

Ryan + Catherine + Mariella + Conrad + Demitri ~ Lifestyle

Oh man, the life of the photographer. You're never quite sure what to expect in a session. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate, sometimes you can shoot at the location you thought of, sometimes you have time constraints, sometimes you have problems with your equipment, and sometimes, oh sometimes you have kids who just do not want to be in photos! This was one of those sessions. No matter how hard we tried, these kids were not interested in a family photo. No worries! We changed it up to a fun lifestyle session instead! The kids ran, dad chased them, they looked at the sky and the trees and the grass. They tried to eat food off the ground. What could have been a mess ended up with some really fun photos instead! Enjoy!

Dave + Mel + Dominic + Sierra + Jackson ~ Family & Lifestyle

A cool spring day, and one of my favourite families to photograph! An excellent combination! Dave and Mel decided they needed some updated family photos after the birth of little Jackson, so we met up at Bunn's Creek Park for some casual photos and a bit of a lifestyle session in the park with the older two kids! It was a lot of fun following them around the playground, and as you can see, that's when their personalities really shone through! Enjoy the photos!

Avery ~ Newborn

Phew! Finally I've been able to blow the dust off my camera and off this blog. Winter is always a slower time for me, but with the increase in temperature comes an increase in sessions! Hopefully I'll be posting a lot more often! This session brought me to the house of a dear friend to photograph the newest addition to her family. Avery was a bit older than my normal newborn clients (roughly 1 month old) and we were working with limited light, so this session is a bit different than my usual. However, sweet Avery shone through! Older sister Brynn wasn't too sure what to think about "the lady with the camera" but cooperated for some photos as best any two year old will! Enjoy the photos!

Tom + Cheryl + Abby + Dean ~ Family

Well it's true what they say....the third time's the charm! Due to inclement weather, and sick kids, we weren't sure this shoot was ever going to happen! The first time we never even connected. The second time we were rained out within a few shots. Finally on the third time we met up at this family's local park. What a brilliant idea that was! An area free of other people (other than the occasional dog walker), an area that the kids were comfortable in, and an area where I could capture this family just "being". I am so pleased with these photos, and I hope everyone else shares in my delight!
