This was such a fun session! I'm so used to doing family and kid sessions (which I love) that it was a real treat to be able to photograph people who didn't need constant reminders and encouragement to look at the camera. The fact that it was a session with two of my favourite people was just icing on the cake! To celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary, we started out at the Mint, where they got married! It was fun reminiscing with them and seeing how much the place had changed. After that we headed downtown for some photos by the river, including some with the gorgeous sunset. It was a beautiful evening, perfect for celebrating 25 years of love! Enjoy your photos!

Andrew + Lisa + Nik + Alexa + Mikayla ~ Family
After an excellent vacation I finally have some time to dedicate to editing some sessions I did in the late summer and early fall. One of my sessions won't be posted until after Christmas, so next on my list is Andrew and Lisa! We stuck close to home, shooting in the Transcona bioreserve and downtown Transcona. As a result, we were able to find a wide variety of backdrops and I'm quite happy with the photos we got! Enjoy!

Oh this family was fun! We met up on a *very* hot summer day, but they were ready to do pretty much anything for me! The kids took a little bit to warm up to me, but were happily posing for pictures very quickly. We met in the Exchange District and as a result we were able to get an awesome mix of brick backgrounds and some great foliage in the beautiful (mosquito filled!) Waterfront park! Hope you enjoy your photos!

Dave + Mel + Dom + Sierra ~ Family
Back on a cold sunny day in February, I met up with Dave and Mel at the Forks to do another family shoot. We had a great time playing in the park, and then went up to the observation deck for some warmer photos! It's always a great time when I get together with them for photos, and I hope to keep photographing their family for a long time! Enjoy the pictures!

This family is so much fun to photograph. Despite the fact that we *always* seem to have less than ideal weather when we do family photos (see here and here), they are always ready to brave the weather. Even the kids tough it out, rain or shine. The oldest two were fascinated by the water in the various fountains and the fun they had kept us all distracted from the blustery weather. Thanks for letting me do your photos again this year guys! It's so great watching your kids grow up!

Lisa + Andrew ~ Couple
My sister and her husband recently celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary. To celebrate, I met them downtown in the Exchange district after they enjoyed a kid-free dinner. We wandered through the Exchange and captured a few photos of the love that is still strong between them, apparently strong enough that they got mistaken for an engaged couple. ;) I hope you love the photos guys! Here's to many more years of happiness!

Love birds
Okay, seriously, how adorable are these two? I still have a "What the heck?" moment every time I think about how my brother went from single to madly in love in less than a year, but I love seeing him so happy! Ali is the perfect fit of silly and fun for our family, and even though I could barely hear her speak a word during this shoot (darn laryngitis!), the three of us had a lot of fun at the Forks. Darryl and Ali only barely froze to death, and I think we managed to get some decent engagement photos out of it all! Looking forward to the wedding next year guys! Enjoy your photos!

One awesome family!
In early November I got to take my camera off the shelf again for a coworker's adorable little blended family. She wasn't asking for much, just some photos in front of a great brick wall behind her house before she moved. That's my favorite kind of shoot to do! Simple, but meaningful to the person the photos are of. Despite a grey day (and some errors on the part of the photographer! Oops!) we were able to capture a few cute photos of the family. I hope you enjoy Joelle! :)
