This was such a fun session! I'm so used to doing family and kid sessions (which I love) that it was a real treat to be able to photograph people who didn't need constant reminders and encouragement to look at the camera. The fact that it was a session with two of my favourite people was just icing on the cake! To celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary, we started out at the Mint, where they got married! It was fun reminiscing with them and seeing how much the place had changed. After that we headed downtown for some photos by the river, including some with the gorgeous sunset. It was a beautiful evening, perfect for celebrating 25 years of love! Enjoy your photos!

Nathan + Amanda + Logan + Hailey ~ Family
This family is awesome. I mean, all my friends have awesome families, of course, but this family has been through a lot over the last couple of years, and they have come through the other side and are even now expecting baby #3! Last time I did their photos, miss Hailey had only been out of the hospital for a few weeks I think, she still had a feeding tube, and still used lots of machines to help her live, now this sweetie is thriving and looks just as healthy as the next 2-year-old. Nate and Amanda, I'm so happy things are going well for you guys, and I can't wait to meet baby #3!

The shoot that wasn't meant to be.....
Oh my. This shoot was doomed from the beginning. First we couldn't find a date that worked, then we had to reschedule some dates, then we had a day set, but a fishing trip took Andrew away from us. Then today, when we were heading out, it started to rain, then snow, then hail (or as Nik said, "It's raining ice."). We decided we were going to power through it. We thought we'd try a couple of outdoor photos, then find somewhere warm indoors to go, but alas, at the Basilica poor Alexa (and her beloved "M'Elmo) fell face first into the mud. *sigh* Oh well. These are the photos I managed to get before we piled back into the van and headed home!
